Our methodology

We treat bubble tea the way a Canucks fan treats Corsi ratings, with more intensity than is probably healthy. Our ranking process is anonymous and unsponsored. Every shop gets visited at least twice by a minimum of two tasters. Scores are based on:

• Pearl texture (30%): chew, bounce, consistency. Mushy pearls kill a cup.
• Tea quality (30%): you should taste the tea, not just sugar and milk.
• Flavor creativity (20%): weird for the right reasons, not weird for Instagram.
• Overall experience (20%): service, seating, music, whether the straws are the good wide ones.

If we ever run sponsored content, it gets marked and sits outside the rankings. No payola, no shady swaps.

Partnerships & sponsorships

We're trying to build something that doesn't feel like a corporate content farm. If you sell tea, run a shop, or make gear worth owning, we're listening. Sponsored anything gets a label. Rankings stay independent.
