The Alley
Kensington got The Alley and suddenly Calgary had a boba shop that could compete on aesthetics with Vancouver. The Deerioca pearls are handmade daily and you can tell โ they've got that irregular QQ chew that machine-made boba can't fake. Expensive, but you're paying for the pearl craft.
Tucked into Kensington's boutique row, The Alley brought some much-needed boba theatrics to Calgary. The Deerioca prep is a show in itself, and the tiger-stripe aesthetic draws the Instagram crowd. But the pearls back up the hype โ they're the best in the city.

๐ซง Deep cut tip: Resist the urge to customize the Deerioca Fever. It's balanced as-is. The Assam milk tea is the dark horse โ way less sugar, way more tea flavor, and it shows off the pearls just as well.
