Gong Cha's milk foam is the unsung hero of the Vancouver boba scene. Salty-sweet, thick enough to hold its shape, and way better than it needs to be for a chain this size. The Earl Grey base actually tastes like Earl Grey, which shouldn't be rare but somehow is.
Richmond's Aberdeen Centre location is a bubble tea pressure cooker โ surrounded by competitors in every direction. Gong Cha holds its own with a milk foam that outclasses shops charging twice the price, and the Earl Grey milk tea is quietly one of the best tea-forward drinks in the city.
